Terms of use

What applies when you use Lanti, and when you choose Lanti Plus. Written to be read all the way through.

The essentials

  • Apple’s license agreement applies to the app; these terms cover what is specific to Lanti.
  • Care is free forever, with no ads.
  • Lanti Plus renews automatically until you cancel it in your Apple settings; refunds are handled by Apple.
  • Lanti is neither a medical device nor therapy. In a crisis, call your local emergency services.

1. Lanti and Apple’s license agreement

Lanti is an app for iPhone, iPhone Duo and Apple TV, published by Stefano Carbone, Switzerland (“we”). It is distributed through the App Store.

Your use of the app is governed by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“EULA”). These terms supplement it for what is specific to Lanti; if they conflict on the license of the app, Apple’s agreement prevails. By downloading or using Lanti, you accept both.

The app is offered for personal use. The Lanti character, its illustrations, animations and texts are protected; all rights reserved.

2. Lanti is not medical care

Lanti is a wellbeing companion, for taking care of yourself through small gestures. Lanti is not a medical device, not therapy and not an emergency service. Lanti makes no diagnosis and does not replace a health professional. If you have concerns about your physical or mental health, talk to a doctor or a professional.

In a crisis or immediate danger, call your local emergency services right away. In the app, the SOS button shows help lines for your country. These numbers were checked against their official sources on a given date and may change: if in doubt, dial your local emergency number.

3. Care is free, forever

Inner weather, the journal, small steps, breathing, SOS, reminders and accessibility settings are free and will stay free. Lanti shows no ads. No purchase changes Lanti’s health, mood or affection: Lanti never falls ill for lack of payment.

Seeds are an in-game currency earned by taking care of yourself. They cannot be bought, have no monetary value, and can be neither exchanged nor refunded.

4. Lanti Plus and in-app purchases

Lanti Plus brings abundance and choice (seasonal outfits, colors, Apple TV scenes, ambient sounds, bedtime stories, mood statistics). What is included is described in the app at the time of purchase; some content arrives gradually and is marked there as “coming soon”.

  • Lanti Plus monthly: auto-renewable subscription, one month long.
  • Lanti Plus yearly: auto-renewable subscription, one year long, with a 7-day free trial for eligible people.
  • Lanti Plus Family: yearly auto-renewable subscription, shareable through Apple’s Family Sharing.
  • Lanti Plus Lifetime: a single payment, no subscription, for all of Plus forever.
  • Seasonal collections: one-time purchases, yours forever, and included in Plus while the subscription is active.

Prices. Prices are shown in the app, in your currency, before you buy. They may vary by country and change over time. If the price of an active subscription changes, Apple tells you in advance and, where its rules require it, asks for your consent.

Payment and renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.

Free trial. When the trial ends, the yearly subscription starts and is charged, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Lanti reminds you two days before it ends. If you buy a subscription during a trial, the rest of the trial ends.

Family Sharing. Lanti Plus Family, Lanti Plus Lifetime and the collections can be shared with members of your Family Sharing group, under Apple’s rules.

Your devices. A purchase made with your Apple Account is recognized on your other compatible devices signed in with the same account, including Apple TV.

5. Manage, cancel, restore, refund

  • Manage or cancel: on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. You can also do it from the App Store, or from Lanti with “Manage my subscription”. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period: you keep Plus until then.
  • Restore: in the app, “Restore my purchases” finds what you bought with your Apple Account.
  • Refund: refunds are decided by Apple, under its rules, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot refund a purchase made on the App Store directly.

These terms do not limit the rights that the law of your country guarantees you as a consumer.

6. Your content

What you write or enter in Lanti belongs to you and stays on your device. We have no access to it. For details, read the privacy policy.

7. Changes to the app and liability

We improve Lanti through updates: features may be added, changed or removed, but the care features described in section 3 stay free. We do our best to make Lanti work well, but cannot guarantee an app entirely free of errors.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages. Our liability remains in full for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, and for anything that mandatory law does not allow us to exclude.

8. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by Swiss law. If you use Lanti as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence and, where the law provides for it, the option of going to the courts of that country.

If we change these terms, we publish the new version on this page with its effective date; an important change will be announced in the app in advance.
